Parking
Free, unmetered street parking along Main Street, usually right out front. There is also a free town lot next to the post office at the south end of Main Street, about a five-minute walk.
Getting here
Main Street is Route 25A through the village. From the LIE or Northern State, take Route 110 north to 25A and turn east; from the east, follow 25A west through Huntington. The Cold Spring Harbor LIRR station is about two miles away and has no sidewalk to the village, so a taxi is the practical choice.
Inside the house
Babies and toddlers, christening and gifts on the first floor. Girls, boys, teens and the Communion department up the stairs. The porch has steps; call ahead if you need help with a stroller and someone will meet you at the door.
Make a morning of it
Cold Spring Harbor’s Main Street
Pashley sits in the middle of a fifth-of-a-mile historic district of nineteenth-century storefronts. The Whaling Museum is a few doors up at 301 Main Street, the harbor and park are at the bottom of the hill, and the Fish Hatchery and Aquarium is a short drive along 25A. Coffee, lunch and a wine shop are all within a block.
